Schools that recently joined the network
So, our last post about the schools that had just joined was well received. We noticed that a high number of students found the posting useful, so we decided to start providing an update more often about the schools that join the OnTheHub network.
Since our last post, we've had many schools join the network, we'd like to welcome and encourage them to spread the word so every one eligible at those schools can benefit from the savings on software by Adobe, Minitab, Microsoft, JMP, SPSS and more.
The first three school Webstores below are branded to Scholar Buys, so don't be alarmed if you don't see your University logo there.
- Howard Payne University: Over 1,400 students, faculty and staff can now access software deals by Microsoft, Adobe
- Houston Baptist University: Over 2,300 students, faculty and staff can now access deals by Microsoft and Adobe
- University of Mary Hardin-Baylor: Over 2,800 students, faculty and staff can now access software deals byMicrosoft, Adobe
- Burnaby School District 41: Hear this, over 24,000 students can now access software deals by Microsoft, Minitab, SAS, JMP, SPSS, and more! spread the word. Students don't need to pay retail!
Before I forget, I want to remind everyone that we have a contest open right now, send us a funny/embarrasing story and you could win a laptop, easy enough huh?.. check it out
That's it.. we're off for the weekend.. until next time!
Enjoy

Helping you save your money
We found a few helpful websites that can steer you in the right direction- down penny pinching lane. You know the old saying, a penny saved…yada- yada...well your cash can really add up if you're cutting costs here and there.
One of the first websites we’d like to talk about is a website called Mint (personal financial software). It’s a website that helps you manage your money, with tips on ways to budget, budget breakdown -where you’re spending your cash, cool graphs, help in uncovering hidden fees and more. If you haven’t checked this site out before, do it, because it’s like a mini personal accountant and it’s FREE! Which is very cool!
Another neat site is Young Money. This site is also a really helpful tool for you in your job search/ career path (the first step to making cash), investment and credit help, financial and bursary help, and more. This site is packed with useful budget and money savings tips. Check this site out and keep your cash in your wallet.
Just when you thought coupons were for your momma’s wallet. Free Mania makes saving cash with coupons a sport, to see if you can beat the man- and not pay full price for stuff. The site offers free stuff, coupons on clothes, food, restaurants, groceries and tons of other stuff. Check it out
If you know of any helpful money saving websites that you want to share, send ‘em our way, so we can help spread the knowledge.
We’re always looking for ways to help the student masses, helping you out in your quest to save money.

New schools with access to software deals by Adobe
Hi all..
Here's a quick update on schools that joined the OnTheHub Network today, and their members have access now to software deals by Adobe (like Adobe Creative Suite 4, Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, Adobe Lightroom, among many others)
· Davidson College (part of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities)
Most of the schools that joined today also have access to software deals by Microsoft, Minitab, JMP and SPSS among other software publishers.. check them out if you are attending one of those schools for some serious discounts.
We've got many more schools already signed up for Adobe deals, if your school is not on the list above, go to our search page to find out if your school is OnTheHub already. If for some odd reason it's not there, simply send us an email at join@onthehub.com and we'll get in touch with the right people at your school to make sure you get access to these great products at amazing discounts!
Keep tuned in..

Deal of the day
With the launch of the new site, we’ve added a Deal of the day promotion, where we’ll be showing you new goods daily, everyday throughout the week that is. We will be offering new hardware, electronics you may need, cool gadgets and random stuff your friends will want to borrow.
We’ve added all this stuff simply because we know students flock to a good deal when they see one, and because we like deals too! We search out the best deals possible and bring these deals right to you via our eStore. We know what it’s like to be broke in school, and having the need to stretch a dollar farther than humanly possible.
These deals are only available to you if you are a student, faculty, and/or staff in the U.S only for now. All you need to do is register in our eStore (free of charge of course).
Tell us what you think of our deals, we want to hear it from you. Are we right up your alley, do you want more from us?. What kind of deals do you want us to search out for?. We’re not promising you the world, but we’ll see what we can do.
Keep your eyes on our site, cause once the deal is gone, it’s gone- unless you come banging down our door demanding more of that product. Then we’ll see if we can pull some strings.

New site launch
We’ve just launched a new version of OnTheHub and we’re excited to bring you more features and more savings. Seriously, we’ve worked hard to bring you additional great deals and lots of cool new stuff like; a deal of the day, interesting links to help you procrastinate, contests, this blog where you can request deals, interact with us, and more.
If you haven’t checked out the new OnTheHub site yet, go on have a look: Onthehub.com
On top of the discount software and hardware that we’ve already added, we’ve also added a Deal of the day section, where we’ll be bringing you a different deal every day throughout the week. Serious deals on hardware, cool electronics and gadgets. Who doesn’t like a deal? Visit: Deal of the day
We’ve also added a Procrastination page, that’s right….to help you procrastinate. Makes sense right?
We figured we’d give you a little break and help you find cool things to help you pass the time. You know, so you don’t have to waste more time looking for the Websites yourself. We do it for you.
Waste a little time here: Procrastinate
Another addition to our site is our Contest page, where we’ll be giving away cool prizes. For our first contest, we’re giving away a brand new laptop. All you need to do is write in and tell us your story about a funny or embarrassing moment while at school. You know the one that all your friends tease you about. Don’t worry; if it’s that bad we’ll give you an alias name. Just send it in and you could win.
Lastly we’ve created a page where you we can capture your feedback, anything from comments, ideas, suggestions, bugs, etc. Check it out at: http://Feedback.onthehub.com
