Tips for International students studying in Canada or the U.S

If you’re studying in Canada or the U.S from abroad, we understand that it can be very exciting, yet a little overwhelming at times. In order to help you out, we’ve provided you with a few tips to help you get accustom to studying away from home.

Spend some time getting to know the history, culture, politics and customs of the country where you’re studying. This will allow you to gain a better understanding of how the country works.

When making new friends, try to include making friends with people who have lived in the country for a while. This way, you can learn the language (including common phrases), find out where to hang out and cultural norms to help you gain the full experience of studying away from home.

If you are looking to find a job, talk about tuition or school related questions talk to your schools’ International Student office. They will be able to provide you with useful information and resources.
